New leak shows gameplay and the full map of Leonida, 9 days before the Extended Look
A site calling itself Cyberleek posted two gameplay clips and map images, just days before the official reveal.
On August 18, 2026, a site calling itself Cyberleek posted two roughly one-minute clips and several map images from GTA 6, just nine days before the official Extended Look scheduled on Netflix for August 27.
The clips show Jason Duval moving between his waterfront home and the streets of Leonida. The first shows him playing basketball at his hideout — a minigame absent from the series since GTA: San Andreas (2004) — with an RPG-style indicator that appears to reward training with character stat boosts. The second, more chaotic clip shows Jason driving down a sunny road, crashing into a delivery van, and confronting the driver bare-handed.
The map images, if genuine, would show the full geography of the state of Leonida: several counties (names circulating include Lummox, Leonard, Kelly, Vice Dale and Mariana), an island chain, race tracks and at least a second airport, all surrounded by three distinct bodies of water.
The leaker reportedly claimed the action was a protest against digital pre-orders and single-player DLC, threatening to release 2-4 more clips. Rockstar hasn't publicly confirmed the material, but the issuance of DMCA takedown notices has been read by several outlets as an indirect sign of its authenticity.
